A political dispute over the financing of the Ladoke Akintola International Airport in Ibadan has intensified after Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde rejected claims that the Federal Government gave the state ₦50 billion for the airport's upgrade.

The dispute followed comments by FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, who said President Bola Ahmed Tinubu had supported Oyo State with ₦50 billion for the project.
